I have been in a dreary, dreamy sort of sleep deprived state today but the debate after school today (on ‘are the London Olympics are a drain?’, and ‘should a fat tax be imposed?’) was just exhilarating and I spoke fairly well and coherently.
There was this guy on my team from another school that was just prancing across the hall as he made his speech, declaring frivolous statements that had nothing to do with the motion - I managed to keep a straight face for most of it, but the moment I looked at the audience and saw the teachers secretly snickering behind pieces of paper, my teammate and I just gave into our suppressed laughter.
